About

Drawings from someone who's fitted the board.

SILec Design is run by a qualified electrician turned electrical design engineer — trade experience underneath the drawing conventions.

Background

From the tools to the drawing board

I trained and worked as an electrician before moving into electrical design — I now work day-to-day designing industrial power distribution equipment, and that work increasingly spans lighting schemes and the control and metering systems that sit alongside them.

SILec Design is the independent side of that work — power, lighting and controls design for contractors and panel builders who need accurate drawings without carrying a full-time design engineer.

Approach

Three things every job gets.

A

Buildable, not just compliant

Drawings are checked against how the board will actually be assembled and wired, not just against a checklist.

B

Direct communication

One person on every job — no account managers, no handoffs between design and delivery.

C

Priced up front

Fixed-fee packages for standard deliverables, so you know the cost before work starts.
